This is the second part in a series I have decided to do on post modern feminist misandry in popular culture. The previous post highlights the trend of violence towards men in popular music.
This post is even more telling, as you will find out.
TV commercials are excellent exhibits in feminist ideology and their militant tactics. Through a variety of medium, the most obvious being TV and TV commercials, liberal feminists have actively set out to destroy the role of the father and husband as the reliable, strong leader of the family and propped up the wife and mother as the new responsible leader in his place.
Let's first take a look at this popular trend. The idiot husband gets caught in the act of doing something stupid by the responsible wife. I don't know how many commercials feature this cliche feminist approach. The woman returns home (implying she is the responsible worker and breadwinner) and catches the man in the act of doing something absolutely stupid and childish. (implying he is the idiot who needs taken care of and a slob who stays home all day.)
Let's look at a few examples.
Blast O Butter
Mother and daughter return home to find husband/dad eating a stick of butter.
Kohler
Woman returns home to find man dumping random crap in the toilet. Idiot.
Clorox Wipes
Wife returns home to find idiot husband cleaning a dead fish on the counter top.
Hanes
Woman returns home from adult errands to find her moron husband dipping their child's (a boy no doubt) feet in paint. "That's stupid" she rightfully declares.
Why is it the man is always portrayed as a moron who can't take care of himself and the woman is the responsible adult? Because destroying the role of the man is step one in the feminist playbook.
Let's see some more...
-In a Target commercial, found at 9:20 in this clip, a woman finds her husband/boyfriend/appendage trying to work on the bathtub and failing miserably like the male moron he is.
-Excedrin made this absolutely ridiculous commercial where the husband tries to "powerwash" the deck and loses control of the sprayer, breaking everything within sight. The woman just gives the usual "why am I with this idiot?" look. I guess Excedrin is only for women who have headaches because of their stupid men.
-In this other Clorox commercial, the father makes a model volcano for his daughter, which ends up making a colossal mess in the kitchen, and like clockwork, the wife returns home just in time to see her clueless husband's actions destroy the kitchen.
That's enough of that. Now I want to get to the real meat and potatoes of this post. Violence towards men in
commercials.
Burger King
Woman approaches man eating a burger and asks him what he did to earn it. He says he was hungry. She slaps him across the face.
Dannon
Woman wants yogurt. When her man eats some for himself, she headbutts him so hard he flies out of his chair to the floor.
California Map and Travel Center
Man approaches woman to ask her for directions (idiot). Before he can even finish saying a word she pepper sprays him in the face.
SafeAuto
Man repeatedly gets kicked in the nuts.
Feminax
This is the worst. Woman gets annoyed at man laughing at the TV. She pulls a magical feminism lever hidden in the couch and catapults him through the window into a tree hundreds of feet away outside.
Littlewood Retail
Men featured with various disfiguring injuries from their women for not getting them the right Christmas present.
Pepsi Max
Woman abuses her man in various creative ways! Funny!
Could you imagine if the genders were reversed? Why is it socially acceptable for men to be abused by women? What's worse, in all of these commercials, the violence towards men is made to be humorous.
-In this florist commercial, a woman scrubs the toilet with her man's toothbrush because he forgot their anniversary, as all men do.
-Stride gum loves to put out commercials of men getting abused in different ways, such as this one where a man is charged by a ram and hit in the groin. Strangely, the only time a woman is featured in a Stride commercial, when the ram charges her she fights it and subdues it. Now THAT is funny!
-In this Hormel commercial the office gets only 10 minutes to eat. As usual, the stupid man runs down the street to the nearest fast food joint while the smart woman calmly walks to the break room to microwave her meal. The man gets hit by a car on the frantic run back.
Just study the commercials you watch in between your shows. View them with knowledge of a bigger picture and you'll be shocked to see the results. Could you imagine a commercial where a woman gets hit by a car, or slapped, or headbutted? Or where a man returns home from work/the store to find the idiot woman acting like a fool? No, because as well all know, women are responsible mature adults and leaders, and men are childish, foolish, and in need of constant supervision. It is also funny when they get abused by women.
*** By the way, apologies for the sloppiness of this post. A warning to all those out there who plan to embed multiple Youtube videos with the new Blogger platform...they will clutter your post with so much unneeded HTML you will be pulling your hair out trying to fix it.
