Info Post
President Obama recently came to a final conclusion with his flip flopping evolving stance on homosexual marriage, saying that gays and lesbians should have the right to enjoy the institution of marriage as much as heteros should. I would argue this was the last thing Obama wanted to do and his "coming out" was largely forced by the hand of Joe Biden's gaffetastic airheadedness. This couldn't be more of a win situation for Republicans. As the crucial swing state of North Carolina proved, most Americans across all sorts of demographic lines, largely reject the prospect of gay marriage. Hispanics especially, whose culture is rooted in the traditions and morals of the Catholic church, also do not accept this. Even more so, this wedge issue not only moved Barack Obama left of center for all to see, something he did not want to do, it moved Mitt Romney to the right, allowing him to prove to social conservative evangelicals, traditional Hispanics, and other conservative swing voters that he is indeed a conservative.

Now let's talk about the prospect of gay marriage itself. The institution of marriage is an issue for the church, and should be addressed as such. Marriage is not a "right". Nor is it a right granted by government. The root of this problem is not the issue of gay people wanting to be married. The root of the problem is that the state has gotten itself involved in religious affairs. My personal stance is this. If two gays want to get married, find a church that will marry you. That is an issue between you and God. It is not my duty or the state's duty to bar you from doing such. The government does not define what marriage is and it never will. Marriage was, is, and always will be a religious institution for a man and a woman to be joined under God. No legislation will ever change this.

While gay marriage should not be made illegal, it also should not be encouraged. Homosexuality is a perverse, unnatural action that goes counter to the laws of nature and humanity. No civilized society should encourage or accept this behavior as normal. But we do. We display it everywhere in the media and entertainment. We laugh at it. Why? Ok, ok the occasional gay joke can be pretty funny. But our society should not encourage homosexual behavior.

The institution of marriage is not only a religious issue. It is a social and economic pillar for civilization. Marriage perpetuates procreation. Marriage is the glue that holds the family together and the family is the glue that holds a productive and prosperous society, culture, and civilization together. Those on the left are destroyers. They encourage behavior that diminishes and demeans procreation and ironically, PROGRESS. They encourage the killing of our unborn: future lives, future creators of society, future inventors and doctors and leaders snuffed out in the blink of an eye. They encourage our women to refrain from childbearing in order to pursue professional careers. They encourage homosexuality and homosexual marriage where reproduction and procreation are impossible. The views and actions of the left are counter to the self serving and progressive desires and traditions of civilizations throughout history.

While the state should have no business banning or legalizing gay marriage, they also should not encourage it. Our society is already taking steps down the path of destruction and if progressives continue to have their way, the death of the culture and civilization will be imminent. And then you can kiss progress goodbye.
