There have been a lot of issues taking place recently that I've wanted to touch base on so I'll cover each in this post.
The North Carolina, West Virginia, and Indiana presidential primaries
As expected, Mitt Romney won all three with ease. Taking 65% of the vote in Indiana, 70% in West Virginia, and 66% in North Carolina. Romney won about 88 delegates in total. Ron Paul got 6 in North Carolina. Time is running out for Ron Paul.
Rasmussen's Latest Poll
In a potential 3 way race between Romney, Obama, and Paul, Rasmussen reports 44%, 39%, and 13% respectively.
The Tea Party is Alive
Tea Party backed Richard Mourdock dethroned moderate Republican Dick Lugar in Indiana. This signals that the Tea Party is still fully mobile, active, and alive. This also sends a message that the Tea Party is capable of cleaning house within the Republican Party. This sends a message to Republicans that they all should be held accountable!
Gay Marriage
North Carolina voters voted to ban it in their state and Barack Obama and his fellow libs have twisted and contorted themselves into a million knots trying to explain their stance on the issue. Not good for the election this year. Biden said he supports it, then Arne Duncan said he REALLY supports it, then Obama, after refusing to support it just today conveniently decided to change his stance on the issue. I guess gay marriage is worth support in an election year. That's alright. Handing North Carolina to Romney is just fine by me. This tells me Obama will cave to his ultra liberal base while compromising potential independent votes. This is a good thing.
Obama beats inmate in West Virginia 60 to 40.
Obama had a tough time beating out inmate Keith Judd on the Democratic ballot in West Virginia. Translation: Coal miners get ticked when their industry is systematically shut down.
In summary: Romney is going to win this year.
