Once Osama bin Laden and his Islamic terrorist network called 'Al Qaida' were identified in the mainstream media and became commonly known names, the liberals, like clockwork, asked, "Why do the Muslims hate us?" The question implies that the barbaric Islamic terrorists were the reactionary force, and that the United States was the instigator. The liberals strove to justify and make sense of the attack and still do.
In the post 9/11 era, the one sided love affair by liberals towards radical Muslims is a predicable and common trend.
After Major Nidal Malik Hasan went on a violent shooting spree that killed 13 American soldiers at Fort Hood, the liberals immediately rushed to his defense like slobbering Pavlov's dogs. He was labeled a "lone wolf", "gunman", "shooter", "attacker" and any number of adjectives but his Muslim faith was kept out of the picture by the mainstream media, despite the fact his entire attack was a pre-planned "jihad". While Hasan mowed down our troops screaming "Allahu Akbar!", the liberals tried desperately to eradicate his Muslim faith from the narrative. President Obama told the nation, "Let's not rush to conclusions..." That means, "We all know this was an explicit Islamic terrorist attack, but let's not focus on that!"
In 2010, a Pakistani Muslim named Faisal Shahzad was arrested for attempting to detonate a car bomb in Times Square. Before Shahzad was tracked down, a middle aged white male was on the suspect list. The media had a rabid feeding frenzy trying to pin the attempted terrorist attack on a white man, but when it was found out that the terrorist wasn't the white man, but instead a Pakistani Muslim, noted liberal Contessa Brewer of MSNBC on air expressed her "frustration" that the suspect turned out to be a Muslim. Apparently all these Muslims plotting terrorist attacks are really making people a little bit biased against the poor Musulmanes, and a pasty Gringo doing it would be a breath of fresh air! Right Contessa? Mayor Bloomberg of New York didn't have any harsh words for the terrorist or Islamic jihad but instead directed his ire at the people of New York saying, "We will not tolerate any bias or any backlash against Muslim New Yorkers!"
Most recently in 2012, American embassies from Cairo, to Libya, to Tunisia and Yemen have come under attack from mobs of furious Muslim protesters. At the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, American Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed along with 3 other American personnel in a coordinated Al Qaida attack that included RPGs and machine guns. In Cairo and Yemen, mobs stormed security checkpoints and ripped down the American flag, replacing them with black Al Qaida flags. While Americans were murdered overseas, liberals pointed the finger at anyone but the actual killers. An obscure American filmmaker had made a small anti-Islam documentary and posted it on Youtube. The slobbering lapdogs in the media heard the bell and pounced on the American citizen while giving the barbaric murderous mobs overseas a free pass. In an added bonus, they turned the mass attacks on the embassies into a Mitt Romney "gaffe". Surprisingly, Newsweek published a cover featuring the title "Muslim Rage". The liberal fanboys at ThinkProgress immediately came galloping to the murders' defense, chastising the label as "Islamophobic". As the fury in the Middle East still burns, the liberals are all pointing the finger at a private American citizen for expressing his 1st Amendment right, screaming, "He did it!"
It is a rancid irony. Wherever killing happens courtesy of "the religion of peace", American liberals stand side by side with them. They soil themselves while straining to justify Islamic barbarism worldwide, always pointing the finger at someone else. Intolerant, prejudiced Americans. An insensitive pastor. An obscure filmmaker.
