Info Post
Is it true?

Lady Cincinnatus has an interesting post on that.

Just a glimpse at the American flag can sway voters, even Democrats, toward more Republican voting behavior, attitudes and beliefs, a new two-year study says.

The authors, from the University of Chicago, Cornell University and Hebrew University, say the research proves the American flag has a powerful effect on voters.

"A single exposure to an American flag resulted in a significant increase in participants' Republican voting intentions, voting behavior, political beliefs, and implicit and explicit attitudes, with some effects lasting eight months," reads the study titled, "Long-Term Effects of U.S. Flag Exposure on Republicanism."

This is absolutely true because of a simple, little fact of life. Republicans, in general, love America and believe we are an exceptional nation. Democrats, in general, don't like America and enjoy focusing on all the mistakes this country has made.

Ever speak to a liberal Democrat who is proud of America? I haven't. The closest thing I've seen to that was when Don't Ask Don't Tell was repealed. Liberals love to talk about slavery, Hiroshima, The trail of tears, Abu Grahib, the Ku Klux Klan, Gitmo waterboarding and WWII Japanese internment camps. But they never like to discuss America's victories.

This study is absolutely true. It's why conservatives like this..

And liberals like this:

Bonus Points: Count how many times you see a patriotic flag bumper sticker or 'support the troops' ribbon next to a liberal bumper sticker. Then count how many times you see one next to a conservative bumper sticker.
