Jesus was gay? Elton John thinks so.

"I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

Now what on earth would compel someone, even someone as flaming as Elton John, to make such a claim? He either has insecurity issues about his choice, or he has a few screws loose. I think maybe a little of both is evident.

I feel sorry for Elton John and others like him.

Ironically enough, I was listening to "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" when I started reading this story. Somehow the song, and Elton John music in general, isn't as appealing to me anymore. Being homosexual is enough. Publicly declaring Jesus was one is absolute blasphemy, ten times worse than the Lindsay Lohan Jesus pose I blogged about a few days ago.

I will no longer listen to Elton John. I'm afraid to.
