"Team America Kills Five Kids in Marja".
Well, whaddya know, it is courtesy of the Huffington Post, one of the most despicable vestiges of (anti)American liberalism out there. So while, our troops are fighting and dying in a foreign land, against the very same organization that was at least partially responsible for the attacks on September 11th, outspoken liberal Robert Naiman, who also blogs over at the Daily Kos, decides it is worthwhile to attack not Taliban tactics nor brutality, but instead American troops for the unfortunate killing of civilians in an air strike.
While civilian casualties are always terrible, they are inevitable in any war. I'd say we have done a pretty damn good job limiting the number to 5! Just imagine Robert in WWII after the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. I'm sure he would have had a field day lambasting America, the big bad wolf, the perpetrator of all the world's woes.
Just look at the headline. Even the wording can tell you that this liberal hates America. "Team America (subtle, condescending attempt at humor) Kills Five Kids (usage of word 'kids' to trigger more negative emotion) in Marja".
Towards the end of the article, he ends with this...
If the United States cannot protect civilians from its military operations - as it is apparently either unable or unwilling to do - then the war should end. According to the repeated statements of senior U.S. officials, the way that the war is going to end is through negotiations with the Afghan Taliban, so those negotiations should commence immediately.Well if that isn't defeatism then I don't know what is! I'm sure the Taliban and al Qaeda just love hearing sissy, defeatist crap like this coming from latte-sipping, no backboned liberal Americans. AKA Robert Naiman, Keith Olbermann, Joy Behar, Sean Penn, Cindy Sheehan, etc.
This is so typical of the American left, just like the initial reaction from liberals over at the Daily Kos at the capture of Taliban #1 (please don't torture him! Bush BAD). Instead of writing about the victories of American soldiers, such as the rebuilding of Afghan infrastructure or the aforementioned capture of the Taliban's highest ranking commander, Naiman deliberately chooses to focus on something negative that will hurt the image of American soldiers. Could you imagine a writer in 1944 saying that if the US military cannot contain civilian casualties in Japan and Germany then we should surrender? Hold, on let me clean up the milk I just spewed on my monitor...
Well done Naiman. You just proved to me, and a lot of other people I'd think, just how much of a backstabbing, anti-American traitor you are. But it's not just you. No, you represent everything the liberal side of America stands for. Blame America First. That is your motto. Keep up the good work. Hell, you might as well go write propaganda pieces for the Taliban. I'm sure they'd love to have you.
