Turkish PM slams Israel for "slaughtering" 19-year-old on ship.
Hamas is not a terrorist organization, it is a resistance movement, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared on Friday at a rally in the Turkish province of Konya, according to local daily Hurriyet.
Erdogan reportedly said Hamas, the legitimate winner of the Palestinian elections, was fighting for its land. "You are always talking about democracy. You’ll never let Hamas rule. What kind of democracy is this?” he reportedly said, apparently addressing the Israeli leadership.
“I do not think that Hamas is a terrorist organization," Erdogan was quoted as saying. "They are Palestinians in resistance, fighting for their own land."
Looks like the tentacles of radical Islam have spread to what we thought was a moderate, reasonable Muslim nation, and ally, in Turkey. In this recent condemnation of Israeli defensive actions against an obviously hostile threat we can now see that there is no middle ground within the religion of Islam. There are no true moderates who exhibit reason. Peace and alliance cannot be made with any Muslim nation. Because deep down, true Muslims will always side with fellow Muslims, and leave you in the dust. Western nations, and the nation of Israel especially, attempting to ally with Muslim nations is a pointless and asinine endeavor.
With these words of love and support towards Hamas, the group that calls for the conquest and annihilation of not just Israel, but the entire Western world, the abandonment of reason within the Muslim world has emerged full force.
It all boils down to two groups of people. Those who believe Israel is a legitimate state, and those who do not.
Well I for one DO believe Israel is a legitimate state, and not only that, but a nation founded by Almighty God Himself. Take a look at the history of the Jewish people and the timeline of events regarding the state of Israel and you may learn a thing or two. But if you don't believe Israel is a legitimate state, then of course you would support a group simply fighting to take back its land. That, and inherent antisemitism, are the fuel that keep this conflict burning high and bright, and there's no end in sight.
It doesn't matter that the Mavi Marmara was armed to the teeth with all sorts of weapons. It doesn't matter that raw footage circulating throughout the web shows obvious hostility towards the Israeli troops before they even set foot on the deck. It doesn't matter that Israeli troops were beaten, stabbed, and shot BEFORE they returned fire. To a critic of Israel, reason is nowhere to be found. Funny thing is, like I said before, any human being put in that situation would have done the same. Could you see Prime Minister Erdogan or Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin getting clubbed to death by a mob of angry "activists"? They probably would have killed more "innocent civilians" than the Israeli commandos did.
As I type this very moment, another "aid" ship is heading straight for the blockade off the coast of Gaza. Israel has vowed to stop it. Maybe this time they'll just blow the ship out of the water instead of dangling troops out there like bait in the tank full of piranhas.
